Precovery privacy statement

Precovery helps clinics with aftercare. After your treatment you can ask questions to a digital assistant, which answers with information from your own clinic. We are as sparing with data as we can be: we do not store your conversations and we do not track you.

This is an English translation of the Dutch privacy statement. If the two differ, the Dutch version prevails.

In short

  • You do not need to create an account.
  • We use no cookies, analytics or trackers.
  • Your chat is not stored anywhere and disappears when you close the window.
  • The AI assistant runs within the EU and keeps nothing.
  • We do not sell your data and do not share it for marketing.

01Who we are

Precovery is part of Jager Group B.V., registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 93411146. For any question about privacy, email hello@precovery.eu.

02Who this statement applies to

  • patients who use their clinic's aftercare assistant
  • visitors to our website
  • clinics and others who get in touch with us

03The aftercare assistant

Who is responsible

Your clinic offers the assistant to you and is therefore responsible for the processing of your data. Precovery only processes your messages on your clinic's behalf, under a data processing agreement. If you have questions about your treatment or your medical record, contact your clinic.

Which data

Only what you type in the chat. Because it is about aftercare, that may include information about your health. The assistant has no access to your medical record or to your clinic's calendar.

We advise you not to share your name, citizen service number (BSN), address or other details that make you identifiable. They are not needed to answer your question.

What happens to your message

  1. Your message goes via our server to the AI model Claude by Anthropic. That model runs at Amazon Web Services (AWS), through Amazon Bedrock, in data centres within the European Union.
  2. The model writes an answer using the information your clinic has provided.
  3. The answer appears in your chat.

What is kept

Nothing.

  • Precovery does not store your questions and answers.
  • Zero data retention is set at AWS. AWS does not write your questions and answers to storage, does not use them to train AI models and does not share them with Anthropic.
  • Anthropic does not receive your data.

When you close the chat window, the conversation is gone. We cannot retrieve it either.

AI, not a doctor

The assistant is an AI system, not a person. It does not make a diagnosis and does not replace a doctor. If you are worried about symptoms, contact your clinic. In an emergency, call 112.

04Data on your own device

To make the assistant work properly, your browser remembers which clinic, language and treatment you chose. These choices stay on your own device and are not kept on our servers. They are not cookies, and we do not use them to track you. You remove them by clearing the site data for precovery.eu in your browser.

05Cookies and analytics

We use no cookies, no analytics services and no trackers. That is why you see no cookie notice either.

06Website visits and hosting

Our website runs at Hostinger in Germany. As with any website, the hosting provider may record technical data for security and to keep the site working, such as your IP address and the time of your visit. We do not use that data to track you and do not link it to your chat.

Legal basis: legitimate interest, namely a secure and properly working website.

07Contacting us

If you email us, for example as a clinic or with a question, we use your name, email address and message to reply to you. If you become a customer, we also use them to carry out our agreements. Our email runs through Mijndomein. We create invoices with SnelStart.

  • Legal basis: the performance of a contract, or our legitimate interest for one-off questions. For the accounts, it is a legal obligation.
  • Retention period: emails for as long as needed for the contact or the collaboration. Invoices and accounts 7 years, because the law requires it.

08Who we share data with

We work with the service providers below. They only process data on our behalf, and we have a data processing agreement with each of them. With AWS, that is the AWS GDPR Data Processing Addendum, which is part of the AWS terms.

  • Amazon Web Services (Amazon Bedrock): AI processing of chat messages, within the EU
  • Hostinger: website hosting, in Germany
  • Mijndomein: email, the Netherlands
  • SnelStart: invoicing and accounts, the Netherlands

We do not sell data and share nothing for marketing.

09Outside the EU

All processing takes place within the European Union. We do not transfer personal data to countries outside the EU.

10Security

All connections with our website are encrypted (HTTPS). We collect as little data as possible. Data we do not keep cannot leak either.

11Retention periods

  • Chat messages: not kept
  • Choices on your device: until you delete them yourself
  • Email: for as long as needed for the contact or the collaboration
  • Accounts and invoices: 7 years (legal obligation)

12Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. To exercise them, email hello@precovery.eu. We respond within one month.

Because we do not keep your chat conversations, we cannot view them or give them to you. If your question is about data your clinic holds, contact your clinic.

13Complaints

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, let us know. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

14Changes

We may update this statement. At the top you can see when that last happened.
